Say, that a specific market sector suffers from very low volatility, that is, candlesticks are very small without any hints of the direction to follow.
Do you still want to trade this market? I guess not.
So, simply choose another market or sector that looks more promising.

For starters, choose a trending market, and then find a sector under it that is also trending or about to reverse and then choose the instrument that signals an impending reversal.

Nevertheless, technical analysis makes it easy and fast to choose and rotate markets and sectors. No need for time-consuming number crunching, after all, timing is imperative.
